You can build reinforcement-learning (RL) environments straight from a company's real workflows by licensing the operational data that records every request, every action, and the final outcome. We connect you with sellers who own that data and handle the entire sourcing process.

Why real workflows matter for RL

RL agents improve by trying actions, seeing the result, and updating their policy over many episodes. When each episode mirrors an actual business process, the policy you train is ready to be deployed without further tweaking. A large AI lab can teach an agent to route support tickets, to prioritize sales leads, or to balance inventory movements by feeding it real-world decision chains instead of a synthetic model. The crucial element is data that shows not only the end decision but also the reasoning steps, the tools used, and the timing of each action.

What data makes an effective RL environment

The most useful datasets contain a clear request-to-outcome chain. Typical components are:

  • A support ticket that starts with the customer problem, records each dialogue, and ends with a resolved status.
  • A sales or CRM record that logs a lead, every contact attempt, the proposal sent, and the final win or loss.

Data that spans a long, uninterrupted history on the same software, comes from a rare industry, or carries clean rights for de-identified use raises the price. We do not need the raw files up front; a one-page summary of what the seller can share is enough to start the match-making.

How the licensing process works

  1. Answer a few basic questions. You tell us the workflow type, industry, and volume you need. No data moves at this point.
  2. We draft a summary. Our team creates a one-page overview of the seller's answers and circulates it to several AI labs.
  3. We bring you the best quote. You receive the offer that fits your budget and conditions, along with any exclusivity preferences.
  4. Agreement and secure export. After you accept, the seller exports the data through a secure channel. All personally identifiable information and any confidential markings are removed; names become stable pseudonyms such as "employee 632" using automated tooling reviewed by humans. The exact de-identification method and file-handling steps are spelled out in the contract.

The seller keeps ownership of the data, and the license covers a limited term, typically 24 months of exclusivity. Shorter terms are possible for a lower price, but no license is perpetual.

Pricing and terms

Approved deals usually fall between $100,000 and $2 million USD. Buyers who describe a typical transaction often cite $200,000 to $300,000 USD. The final amount depends on how much data the company generates, the type of data, years of continuous history, and how rare the industry is. There is no upper limit on company size; larger firms usually produce more data, which can increase the price but never makes them less attractive.

The seller pays nothing up front. The buyer pays a finder's fee only when a deal closes, and the seller's advisory fee is owed after the agreement is signed. Licenses are paid as a one-time fee for the agreed term, with the option to refresh later if you need additional data.

How to request your workflow data

If you have a concrete workflow in mind, say you need the decision chain for incident response in an 80-person technology firm, click the button below and tell us the details. We will match you with companies that can provide the data, negotiate the terms, and deliver a quote that fits your budget and timeline.

Questions people ask

What kind of workflow data is most useful for RL?

Data that captures the initial request, every interaction or task, the reasoning behind each step, and the final outcome gives the most learning signal. Simple logs without context are much less valuable.

Do I need to handle de-identification myself?

No. The seller performs de-identification according to the contract, and you receive data with all PII removed and any confidential fields pseudonymized.

How long does the whole process take?

The timeline varies with the complexity of the data you need, the number of sellers contacted, and the negotiation of terms.

Can I request only a specific department's workflow?

Yes. You can ask for data from a single department, finance, customer support, or any other, and the price will reflect the scope you define.
