  1. Welcome to the AI data licensing market update for November 5, 2026.

Stay to the end, because the window for some of this is short.

  2. 3 things today: who the offers are going to, an urgent request for CAD files, and what is selling right now.

The short version is that the market is moving upmarket, and the window will not stay open.

I will start with who the offers are going to.

  3. Start with company size.

AI labs have more datasets to choose from now, so they are more selective.

For new operational data, companies with 100 or more employees are my strongest recommendation.

Companies with 50 to 99 employees are still viable, but I am seeing more rejections.

Under 50, offers come less often, although exceptions exist.

In fact, today a 6-figure offer came in for a company with fewer than 30 employees, with monthly task-training revenue on top.

    It has not closed yet.

The takeaway is that deals still happen, but a larger company is in a much better position.

  4. Now the urgent part.

There is active demand for CAD files in the next 24 to 48 hours: engineering, architectural, manufacturing and design files.

Who holds them? Engineering and architecture firms, CNC and manufacturing shops, product design companies, and any business with years of drawings and revisions.

To move quickly, I need a file manifest.

It lists the file formats, such as DXF, NC1 or PDF drawings, the number of files, and the total size.

It also says how many years of data the files cover.

I also need sample files, ideally ones that show revisions.

They must be the original working files, not photos of finished products.

If you hold files like these, contact me today.

  5. Here is what is selling right now.

First, operational data from companies with 100 or more employees.

Second, CAD, engineering and architectural files.

Then video game development files, video and creative production files, and historical company-owned datasets.

One more change: healthcare, financial services and legal were closed before, and they are now open.

    Healthcare data is de-identified first.

If you hold one of these datasets, you can send me the details directly.

  6. Here are the baseline checks for operational data.

The company needs 50 or more full-time, computer-based employees, and 100 or more is preferred.

It needs at least 3 years of data.

The employees should be in the US, UK, Canada or Australia, and I need access to a decision maker, such as the owner.

Mostly W-2 employees, though full-time contractors may count.

Part-time staff, field crews and most small restaurants are usually not a fit.

This will not fit every company, but there are 2 exceptions.

CAD files and similar company-owned datasets can qualify whatever the headcount.

And a company that downsized or closed may still count, based on its past headcount.

  7. Last, timing.

AI labs are filling their dataset needs.

Once a lab has enough data in one category, it may stop buying more.

So an opportunity that is open today may not exist a month from now.

My job is to help companies look at the licensing options they have while demand is strong.

  8. If you hold CAD files, or run a company with 100 or more employees, contact me today through my website.

If you want to know whether your company qualifies, ask in the comments, and I will answer.

    Thank you for watching.

I will see you next time.
