AI Labs Want Your CAD Files Right Now (Oct 27)

Do you have CAD files, and do you wonder if anyone wants them?

As of today, October 27, an AI lab is looking to acquire them, and in this video I will show you what the request asks for, who may hold those files, and what to do today if that is you.

Stay to the end, because requests like this can change within a week.

  1. Do you have CAD files, and do you wonder if anyone wants them?

As of today, October 27, an AI lab is looking to acquire them, and in this video I will show you what the request asks for, who may hold those files, and what to do today if that is you.

Stay to the end, because requests like this can change within a week.

  2. That request is for CAD files, which are the design files that engineers and manufacturers use to draw parts and assemblies.

It wants complex assemblies with many parts, and the 2D drawings and the 3D models together.

If you work in manufacturing, engineering, architecture or product design, or you run a machine shop or a hardware company, you may already hold what it wants.

First, let me tell you who I am.

  3. I'm Jimmy. I have worked in data at Fortune 500 companies, as a data analyst, a data engineer and a software engineer, and I am trained in data science. I am also a Canadian military veteran, where I specialized in data analysis and reporting.

Are you selling your data? We are your broker and technical advisor. We get you the best price, and we guide your team through the technical side, including compliance.

Are you buying data for an AI lab? We find the right data for you and see it through to delivery, so you can focus on advancing AI research.

  4. Here is what the request asks for.

First, full project files and workflows, from CAD programs such as SolidWorks, Autodesk and Fusion 360, and the more parts an assembly has, the more interesting it is.

Second, the starting shapes and the fully defined assemblies, with the 2D technical drawings paired with their 3D models.

Third, exports in common formats like STEP, STL, OBJ and JSON, so that a model can read them.

It also prefers a little information about each project, like the software and its version, the file types and whether they are assembly or part files, the date, and the part count or other complexity measures, with the client and project names replaced by a code.

  5. Now, do you have CAD files that you would like to sell? If your company has 30 or more people, contact me on my website, AITrainingDataBroker.com.

If you have further questions, leave them in the comments, and I will answer them in the next video.

    Thank you for watching.

I will see you next time.
