Which kinds of company records can be licensed to AI?
The record type often matters more than the industry. A work order, a chat thread, a call and a quote each show a different kind of judgment, and each needs different things taken out. The tool pages say where each kind of record usually lives, from Slack and Salesforce to QuickBooks and Jira. Pick the one your company keeps most of.
Written work
Records of a job, a change or a price
| Work orders and dispatch notes | A job from request to fix, in a technician's own words. |
| Change orders and RFIs | A question, an answer and a price, tied together across a whole project. |
| Quotes and estimates | A price and the argument behind it, with margins and current prices kept out unless the owner says. |
Conversations
Tickets, chat and calls
| Support tickets | The whole thread, wrong guesses included, with customers replaced by stand-ins. |
| Team chat | Slack and Teams threads, where one person must stay one person and direct messages stay out. |
| Call recordings | Gong, Zoom and phone-system calls; transcripts before audio, and consent before everything. |
Systems of record
CRM, accounting, project tools and knowledge bases
| CRM history | Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive and Zoho notes and timelines; fields alone say little. |
| Accounting and ERP records | Invoices, approvals and memos from QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, SAP and Odoo; payroll and bank details never. |
| Project and task history | Jira, Asana, Linear, Monday, Trello, ClickUp and Airtable comments and status changes, not task titles. |
| SOPs and knowledge bases | Procedures with their edit history and comments; published help articles add nothing. |
