AI Labs Reject These Industries' Data First in 2026

Is your company in an industry that AI labs turn down more often in 2026?

In this video I will show you 6 industries that, in our experience, get turned down first, why that happens, and what can still get you in.

Stay to the end, because this list is a snapshot of today, and the market can turn within a week.

  1. Is your company in an industry that AI labs turn down more often in 2026?

In this video I will show you 6 industries that, in our experience, get turned down first, why that happens, and what can still get you in.

Stay to the end, because this list is a snapshot of today, and the market can turn within a week.

  2. First, a warning about how to use this video, because it matters more than the list itself.

Everything I say comes from our own experience as of now, and supply and demand move day by day, so a trend can turn within a week.

An industry that is turned down more often today may be asked for next month, and the other way around.

So treat this as a snapshot of today, and not as a verdict on your company.

First, you should know who is telling you this.

  3. I'm Jimmy. I have worked in data at Fortune 500 companies, as a data analyst, a data engineer and a software engineer, and I am trained in data science. I am also a Canadian military veteran, where I specialized in data analysis and reporting.

Are you selling your data? We are your broker and technical advisor. We get you the best price, and we guide your team through the technical side, including compliance.

Are you buying data for an AI lab? We find the right data for you and see it through to delivery, so you can focus on advancing AI research.

  4. So, let us start with how we made this list.

It comes from our own experience, which means the requests we see from AI labs, the companies that get a second look, and the ones that are passed over.

Then we look at why each one was passed over, because the reason tells you if it can change.

This is not a market survey and it is not a prediction, so please check again, because supply and demand can shift within a week.

  5. Here are the 6 industries that, in our experience, get turned down more often right now.

Restaurants and cafes, physical retail stores, farming, and salons and personal services, where most of the work happens away from a computer.

Then staffing and recruiting, where the data is full of resumes and background checks, and marketing agencies, where most of the work belongs to the clients and is private to the clients.

Online stores are a different case, because their customer service is written down at a desk, so this list is about physical stores.

If you are in one of these, keep watching, because it is a harder yes today and not a permanent no.

  6. Why do these industries get turned down more often?

First, the work happens away from a computer, so there are few emails, chats or tickets for an AI lab to learn from.

Second, some of the data carries heavy privacy limits, like resumes, background checks and client work, so de-identification and compliance matter even more there.

Third, the data is thin, with only a few years of data spread over many separate systems.

Each of these reasons can change, and that is why the list can change too.

  7. So what gets a company past the bar?

Mostly size, which means how many people work at a computer, and how much connected data they leave behind over the years.

A large team with years of data, where each task is followed through to its outcome, can get a yes even in an industry on this list.

I covered the exact team size floor in another video, and keep in mind it is a floor for today, because AI labs can change it.

So a very strong company in a harder industry can still get in, while a small one in a popular industry can still get turned down.

  8. What should you do if your company is small, or in one of these industries?

Start with the free estimate on AITrainingDataBroker.com, which gives you a rough range and is an estimate, not an offer.

Then pick your strongest data, which is the one system with the most years of history and the clearest outcomes.

After that, a small sample that we de-identify and that you approve gives an AI lab something real to judge.

And come back to check again, because what AI labs ask for can turn within a week.

  9. That is where a broker and technical advisor comes in.

As your broker, I bring your data to several AI companies and AI labs, get competing offers for you to compare, and work through the terms with you, and you make the final call.

As your technical advisor, I guide your team through the technical side, which means what to export, in what format, how your data is cleaned, and compliance.

We move forward only after your team signs off, and the terms are agreed case by case.

And you do not pay anything for the broker work: AI companies pay my fee.

  10. Now, what is your company's data worth to AI labs, even in a harder industry? We need a sample, so start with the free estimate today.

If you run a company with 30 or more people, the data you already have could become a new revenue stream.
